This is a review of the Trouble Burger from Mr. Pickle’s at 5900 Fair Oaks Blvd, Carmichael, CA 95608. Phone number 1-916-483-1434

By far, this is the best hamburger I’ve had in my life. It is called the: Trouble Burger combo meal with fries and a fountain drink for $9.99

The make-up; 1/3 lb. patty, bacon, BBQ sauce, onion rings, cheddar, and jack cheese on a bun.

When you order the burger, you will be asked how well cooked you want the meat patty. The range goes from rare, medium rare, medium, medium well, and well done. You may also ask to have the fries cooked extra crispy. The shop is run by a married couple who are courteous.

The buns get their turn on the grill also which adds to the texture of the hamburger. All of the ingredients are in balance. No one ingredient overpowers the others. You will taste the sauce, the meat, the cheeses, the crunch of flavorable bacon, and delight in the texture of the onion rings. I eat the pickles slices and the tomato slice last after the burger is consumed.

How I eat the fries; my wife makes a cup’s worth mixture 50/50 of BBQ sauce to ketchup. You can see from the photo, it’s a lot of food. I only eat twice a day, 8 am and then at 3 pm. If I were to eat all of this in one go, I would pay dearly the next day. I have ALS which limits the amount I may eat per day. To earn this meal, I have to defeat a strong chess opponent online at Lichess.com, otherwise, it’s soup for me. It’s the reverse of Seinfeld’s soup Nazi, “No chess win. No burger for you!” From one to ten, of course, the meal scores a ten.
