Donald Trump gamed Nancy Pelosi.

President Trump knows he has enemies within the White House and throughout the Executive Branch. Melania has echoed the threats to her husband in the White House. Adam Schiff rightly points out that President Trump made the call to Ukraine the day after Mueller’s appearance before the Senate. President Trump knows he has a multitude of people listening on all of his calls to other heads of state.

President Trump after two and one-half years of pursuit by Mueller chose to make himself vulnerable once again to the Democrats who have called for his impeachment from day one or his murder. Why would President Trump do that to himself?

Scott Adams talks at length about the theory that our reality is a simulation. There is no way to disprove the simulation theory. It seems as though at times that President Trump does know how events will unfold. I have watched him very closely in his public appearances. At no time has President Trump showed the classic signs of stress that normal people would have shown given the event that surrounds him.

I will propose a big what if. Let’s say President Trump did open this can of worms that led to his impeachment with the deliberation of thought. What was there to lose and what was there to gain?

The first thing that comes to my mind in the gain column is President Trump’s amusement. All the people toiling at earnest on both sides from just one phone call by him. Imagine yourself watching ants scurrying about an item of food that you had laid down on purpose for your amusement.

President Obama at one of his first term White House Correspondents’ Dinners did jab at Donald Trump who was sitting among the reporters. I believe Obama’s jab was the catalyst that made Donald Trump ponder the possibility of being the President of the United States.

Donald Trump destroyed Obama’s heir apparent, Hillary Clinton. Obama had so much emotional investment in Clinton. At rallies in 2016, Obama began saying that if Clinton wasn’t elected, that would be an insult to his legacy. That might be why Obama has shied away from endorsing Joe Biden.

Perhaps, President Trump saw the Biden alleged corruption and he made the calculation to call it out in the phone call to the President of Ukraine, all the while knowing that would lead to his impeachment by the Democrats and exoneration in the Senate. Adam Schiff wrongly thinks this was about the targeting of Joe Biden by the President because he saw Joe Biden as a political threat to his presidency. The real target was/is Barack Obama. If by dirting-up Joe Biden that furthers diminishes Barack Obama’s legacy, then mission accomplished. In no way does Donald Trump think that Joe Biden could beat him in an election. Donald Trump believes he would make a fool out of Joe Biden on the debate stage. This is not mind reading on my part, Donald Trump has said so on many occasions before reporters.

Of course, Pelosi fell into Trump’s trap. Pelosi announced impeachment inquiries before she had a chance to read the call transcription. Thereon, the Democrats were stuck in Trump’s trap as if they were bugs in amber. I know they were baffled on what to do as they kept moving the goal post as to what to charge President Trump in their articles of impeachment.

Donald Trump hasn’t a fear of risk. He never quits, he never retreats, and he seldom apologizes.
