Let’s suppose AOC is correct on all of her points. If the United States adopted her New Green Deal, it would not stop environmental deaths on the planet in her timeline if China and India continued to produce Co2 at their current levels. China and India together are producing 30% of the world’s Co2. AOC states, as fact, this is our World War Two.
The United States in just one of bombing of Berlin and Hamburg killed 97,600 German citizens. The United States is the only country to have used atomic weapons against another country. The United States killed 2,600,000 civilians in Japan through strategic bombings. Only 300,000 civilian deaths were attributed to the two atomic weapons that the United States dropped on Japan.
The question is – when would we reach a point of no return? If AOC was our president, would she be willing to go to war as we did against Japan after they attacked Pearl Harbor with any countries that didn’t accept the tenets of her New Green Deal? Sounds pretty ridiculous!
