Dearest Readers,
I have been writing directly to the White House via email about the urgent danger posed by the “Caspian Sea loophole.”
Iran’s northern coast lies on the Caspian Sea. I have been closely watching a steady stream of Russian ships docking at Iran’s three commercial ports on the Caspian. Iran produces little that Russia genuinely needs in conventional trade. Yet after the United States imposed a blockade at the entrance to the Persian Gulf, Russia has tripled its cargo ship traffic to these Iranian ports.
Iran holds approximately 500 metric tons of gold bullion. As I suspected, the Mossad has confirmed that Russia is shipping ballistic missile components and drones to Iran. Iran can use its gold reserves to purchase these systems.
In my communications to President Trump, I have reported this dangerous development and stated clearly: if he is not willing to turn around Russia’s ships, then he must destroy Iran’s Caspian Sea ports and Iran’s Caspian Sea cargo ship fleet.
I believe this loophole must be closed to prevent further destabilization in the region.
